The Northern part of India lies closer to the Himalayas and the geographical features range from valleys and Gangetic plains to snow-capped mountain peaks. Tourism in this region is largely focused on the adventurous terrain of regions like Kulu, Manali, Kasol, Leh,Ladakh etc. It is rather preferable to visit the mountains during the winter and spring for the landscape would be at its best during that period.
